Scrum Master Training

After completing the Scrum Master training:

Depending on your knowledge and practical experience, we have three options for you to train and certify yourself: the hybrid training, the online training and an e-learning track.

Hybrid training

For those with little or no experience with Scrum, our hybrid training is a complete and solid foundation:

• You receive the course material at home a few days before the training.
• On the first and second half training day (both from 09:00 to 13:00) you log in to our Virtual Classroom via your laptop. With a maximum of 7 other participants, interaction is guaranteed.
• Together with the other participants as a Scrum team, you follow the practical workshop day (from 09:30 to 16:30) physically at our location in Haarlem or Antwerp. During this workshop you practice and experience how Scrum theory comes to life in practice and what it's like to be a Scrum Master in practice.
• You get a personal online e-learning environment for your laptop and tablet. With this you can further master the material using video material and quizzes and plan and take your exam.

Online training

If you already have a lot of practical experience as a Scrum Master but would like to learn the theory interactively with others or refresh your knowledge, an Online training is your best choice.

• A few days before the training you receive the written course material at home.
• At the beginning of the training day you log in at home via your laptop or desktop to our Virtual Classroom. The training day is from 09:00-13:00. Because you can see and talk to each other and there are a maximum of 7 other participants, interaction is guaranteed, just like in a real Scrum team.
• After the training day you get a personal online e-learning for your laptop and tablet. Here you can further master the material using video material and quizzes and take your exam if you want.

The new way of working is partly at home, partly on location. Our hybrid Scrum Master training fits seamlessly with this and thus encompasses the best of both worlds; the interactivity of a physical training with the flexibility and convenience of an online track.

During the hybrid training you combine two half days of interactive online theory with a full day workshop on location, where you apply the role of Scrum Master in practice.

This means:

• you need to travel less and the two interactive half days can be combined with other activities,
• you can effectively and quickly progress to your certifying exam,
• there is a start guarantee for the date you register, study material is sent to your home and
• because our groups are never larger than a real Scrum team, interactivity is guaranteed both online and physically.

Then you probably want to get your certificate as quickly as possible and our e-Learning Scrum Master Certified is probably perfect for you.

If you register for the Hybrid training:

• you follow the theoretical part of the training via our Virtual Class on Wednesday and Thursday morning from 09:00 to 13:00
• and also the practical workshop day from 09:30 to 17:00 at our location in Amsterdam at the Keizersgracht, Haarlem at Nieuwe Gracht 3 or in Antwerp at Franklin Rooseveltplaats: all within walking distance of the central station and with good parking facilities.

If you register for an Online training:

• you follow the training via our Virtual Class on Wednesday and Thursday from 09:00 to 13:00.

And of course you can also take the training in-company on request

With the Scrum Master exam you certify yourself as an official and recognized Scrum Master. At the end of the first training day you get access to a personalized e-learning environment. You will find a lot of video material here so that you can watch parts of the training again at a later time. You also take the exam via the e-learning environment to certify yourself as a Scrum Master.

You can choose between two major internationally recognized Scrum Master certificates: Scrum Master Certified (SMC) and Professional Scrum Master abbreviated as (PSM).

Of these, SMC is the most generic, not specifically IT-oriented, certificate. PSM from scrum.org is, partly due to its history, more IT-oriented. The Scrum theory needed to obtain both certificates is the same. In general, the PSM exam questions are slightly more IT-oriented.
